Installation and Configuration of Delivery Controller

We’ll install our first Delivery Controller. The DC can be installed onto Server 2016, 2012 or 2019.  For more details: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/system-requirements.html

Installation of the core components is the Delivery Controller, Director, StoreFront, and License Server on a single server.

Step 1: Mount ISO on a Windows Server 2016 and run AutoSelect.

Step 2: Click Start.

Step 3: Click Delivery Controller.

Step 4: Accept the Terms of Service, and click Next.

Step 5: Select the components necessary and click Next.

Step 6: I’ll use External SQL Server, use only SQL Express for POC.  By default, this selection is enabled. Requirement Database.

Step 7: Click Next.

Step 8: Review and Finish.

Step 9: The installation will continue after restart. Click Close.

Wait a few minutes.

Step 10: Select “I do not want to connect to Smart Tolls” and click Next.

Step 11: Click Finish to complete the Controller installation.

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Site Setup

Step 12: Select Deliver applications and desktops to create the site.

Step 13: Select “A fully configured, production-ready Site” and provide Name for site and Next.

Step 14: Input details the SQL Server click in Next. DB’s will create automatically.

Step 15: On the Licensing page, enter the name of the License Server, and click Next.

Step 16: Select “No machine management” and click Next.

Step 17: Click on Next.

Step 18: Review and click on Finish.

Wait a few minutes.

It will take some time for the site to be created.
